When I visited the Big House table at the 8/25, Gilford, NH. show, Kirk was at the table. I've seen Kirk at a lot of venues over the years, and even spoken to him in passing a few times, but I had not met him. I introduced myself and asked him to sign my Harley/Stacked ABB logo denim jacket (from the Decade of Hits album). He did and also gave my wife and me After Show passes. After the show, we went backstage, and at my first sighting of Gregg I yelled out to him. Kirk scolded me, as he should have, telling me "that was not cool". I hadn't expected to get backstage and definitely had done a little too much tailgating before the show. Anyhow, shortly after that, Kirk came over to the assembled After Show crowd, pointed at me and said, "You. Just you. Come here." He walked me over to Gregg. I got to meet Gregg and he signed my jacket. After that, the rest is kind of a blur.

Kirk can't possibly realize how much this meant to me. It was a watershed moment in my life, falling somewhere below my 33 year marriage to my wife and the birth of my only child, but above most everything else. It was a surreal experience for this 37 year fan and 56 year old biker. I've tried my best here to convey how meaningful this was for me. I know Kirk can't do it for everybody and he can't do it all the time. But when Kirk nods your way, it's a very, very special moment. I will be forever grateful to Kirk.

Great story. You just have to be cool backstage and respect their space. The band have a lot on their minds and will take time to talk to you when they can.
Kirk has done so much for ABB fans and I too would like to thank him!!!
Ed

The first time I met Kirk I thought he was a little bit of a jerk. Then I realized that everyone who knows someone probably bothers the guy at one point or another before, during, or after a show. He handles all the "special requests" and manages a tour at the same time, and still finds the time to take care of regular folks like me. Now, I enjoy watching the band from my normal seat in the Lower Balcony and enjoy catching a glimpse of Kirk as he patrols backstage, keeping things running smoothly. Good health and a long life to him.

Be safe,
John

Hey Mitzi...one of the local shlock joe **** the ragman radio stations has changed their format...probably only for a week but I've heard more of our music in the past 3 days on the radio here than I have in the prior 2 and a half years I've been here. The radios are BLARING at work now everywhere. Damn its cool.
They even have REVIVAL as an on-air advertisement about what this new station is. Is that friggin cool or what...Damn its been a rough few years waving my peach flag down here !

I hear that Clear Channel is being bought out. So maybe...JUST MAYBE...radio will return to normal. God, I hope so. But in the meantime, I hear ya about waving that flag. I'm the only one I know of, here in the western part of the great state of Texas, that's Peachy!
