From what i've read on the forum & the vine I think ol' JaminRebel has not been around for a while. So I figured I ask a question he might ask.

Witch Skynyrd Spin-Off Band do you like the best out of all of them. & why.

1).Rossington Collins Band
2).Allen Collins Band
3).Artimus Pyle Band
4).Rossington Band
5).Alias

But like I said from what I've read on the forums & vines it might be that Jamin like Elvis has left the building

I suspect Dino has been taking his medicine like a good boy and has found something else to do with himself.

Alias!

But only because I designed their 1st album "Contraband," also designed the 2nd one but it never came out.

deano stops by sometimes, mostly weekends, posts disgusting things and his new ID is removed promptly.

Some folks can spot him a mile away, regardless of what he posts.

And apparently sometime today a troll with a nasty screen name stopped by and crapped on the forum.

Wott are the odds?

The second album did get released eventually about 4 or 5 years ago. Not sure if the designs stayed the same though.

I don't get why they are included in this thread though. 2 guys from a canadian band and three former Heart members. Where is the LS connection?

The Alias I am talking about is a different band. The title of the album was Contraband, came out in 1981 (or 1980). The song True Love was the single, got a lot of play in Atlanta on 96Rock. Their debut concert was at the Agora Ballroom in Dec. of '81. Some of the LS guys played on the record during their recovery from the plane crash, Leon played on a couple of tunes (stand up bass only as he still could not use his arm), Artimus on drums, Billy on piano, Gary and Allen were involved in the production in the early stages, they too were still not able to play. The principles of Alias were Jimmy Daughtery on vocals (later of the Allen Collins Band), Dorman Cogburn on guitar (the 2 of them wrote most of the material), and Jo Jo Billingsley on vocals. Barry Harwood played guitar, I think Randall Hall too, Ricky Powell, Billy's brother, played bass on the tunes Leon did not play on. Their touring band did not include any members from LS. Dorman and Jimmy went to school with the LS guys growing up in Florida. Rossington Collins Band was formed out of these sessions.

Well now that makes some sense. I even tried to Google to see some connection to LS. The other band comes up as they had far more success. I guess Google likes hit singles.

It is funny how both bands released an album and then the second didn't come out. At least right away. I had hoped for success for them as the guys from Heart deserve some more credit and success then they ended up with. Especially after having success with the first album, you would think that would guarentee a 2nd. But grunge came in and the company pulled the plug.
