I believe it came out in 2003 bro (good question since no year is listed on the CD)
Yep, great stuff -- I really dig this acoustic stuff too -- Dan Hicks & the Acoustic Warriors did a live album many years ago (90s) that is similar & really jumping too
I like to listen in tandem to Willie & Po' Bob, and Old Friend, from the ABB's HTN album -- the final songs on both CDs -- & quite similar -- acoustic, and Dickey & Danny start out trading riffs in Willie & PO' Bob, just as Warren & Derek start out trading licks in Old Friend -- then the songs go from there -- kinda funny just because even though they're similar, they also show how different DB & GS, & the ABB were at that time, & still are I suppose

Sorry man I didn't mean to get carried away -- I can get pretty blabbermouthy when it comes to talking about music!

If you like this you should definitely have Dickey's acoustic workshop show from Trinity College 9-05-02. He plays acoustic songs and discusses his influences in music. You also get to hear the seldom played, but outstanding bluegrass song "Keep On Rollin' On".

If you guys like this I recommend my vine:

Allman Brothers Acoustic Collection Vol I & II

Also, i can bnp anyone who wants a copy of

Dickey Betts, Micanopy, FL 1983

He does alot of traditional tunes with a group of people at the "William's Family Home''. It is great, he plays alot of slide/bluegrass tunes. Pretty cool indeed.

Its one disc audio.

Wish Dickey would go back to do a little of that accoustic stuff midway through his shows. Would love to hear that Bob Dylan song he does.

Howdy...that acoustic gem came out in 2002 through DickeyBetts.com. It was Dickey's second release after "Let's Get Together" in 2001. I remember it well as my second son was born that year and I used to play "Tangled up in Blue" constantly to make him sleep and it actually worked! Dickey is an acoustic wizard and I wish that he would play that genre more to end all these unfair comparisons with much younger electric players...I can't wait for "Collectors #2" indeed!

Thanks for the memory jog!
I'm really, really lax nowadays in filing away shows and I've been trying to find "that acoustic show" for awhile now...so now I have a date to look for on the CD holder while I'm looking thru desk drawers, filing cabinets, show boxes, cars, kids' rooms.....
