I drank a glass before bedtime last night. It was the best Heineken that I have ever drank! Very smooth and no skunk taste!

A guy I know who worked for Heineken told me that the Keg cans are the way to go. The green bottle is a trademark but it lets light in and that's why Heineken has a rep for being skunky. I was skeptical about Heineken light but I tried it this summer and really enjoyed it.

I know this might not pertain to you, but they work great for college parties - just set one up on each side of the beer-pong table and that way the games can continue without interfering with the regular keg.

*cough* ahem, or so I've heard at least

we used to shotgun beers as a kid...use the old school can opener on the bottom...place it to the mouth an dopen the top. Wonder what the Heini mini keg would be like ?

I didn't do the math but I think the cost per beverage is higher w/ the keg than just going out and grabbing a case? Just saying so for the college crew looking to save a couple of bucks. I've enjoyed the mini-keg, great for tailgating...

Is it wrong if I got out and get a Heiniken mini-keg, and don't share it with anyone else?

You better share it with the other Hayseeds

Then again, they might not be caught dead drinking "fancy" beer

You know I couldn't keep it all to myself! However, I not a full fledged Hayseed yet! I plan on completing the initiation well before Wanee though!

True, which is why we don't do it often. Really we only get them when on sale (I'm seen them for as low as 11.99!), and they're always a huge hit when we do...

I agree about tailgating, especially since real kegs have been outlawed at tailgates by our school

How long does it last before going flat?

Can you open it one day and keep it in the fridge for a week?

I was given 2 Heineken minikegs last Christmas. I then found them in my local Target store and at the local 7-11. Man o man were they fun. The taste of fresh keg beer in the house!
I started conducting scientific experiments to see exactly how many glasses I could get out of each keg. I kept very exact marks with a sharpie on the side of the keg. Somehow that never worked out. The next morning I would wake up feeling like poop, and notice that I either stopped counting after around 11, or 12 or the markings were illegible.
One morning I noticed I used the keg in my drunkenness to make list, and after the IIII IIII II marking I had started a drunken sloppy grocery list, that reminded me to buy more nacho chips. I tried again the next night and after marking 15 I found a smiley face with its tongue sticking out.
After about 4 months I realized the easy access and delicious taste were causing me to drink way to much each night!
I look back at the good times I had with the minikeg. We had fun together, but all good things must come to an end.

If any body ever gets and accurate count of how many beers are in the minikeg, donít tell me I would rather just let it be a mystery!

1.33 gallon = just a little over 14 - 12oz. beers

In my town a Heineken 6 pack is $8.49 without tax and the minikeg was $19.99 so there isn't maybe a dollar or two difference if you just bought 14 cans or bottles except the minikeg taste about 10 times better!
