Most of my old 33s are long gone, but I saved most of the " Booklets" that came with some albums. You know, like the one in "Duane Allman an Anthology".... My copy is kind of beat up, but I have some others here in great shape... Please add to the list if you have these or others...I think they're pretty cool pieces of Album art/history...

Duane Allman an Anthology
Ringo Starr "The Greatest" 1973...Very Cool, this has B&W drawings for each song by Klaus Voorman (Bass Player)?
Allman Brothers Band "Dreams" booklet
Stevie Wonder "Songs in the Key of Life"...1976
Derek & the Dominoes "The Layla Sessions" 20th anniversary
Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band "Live/1975-85"
Steve Martin Color Photo of Steve w/fish in jacket... backside of insert/photo has a concert set list

Alice Cooper always added something extra. I still have the Killer albums with panties and calendar. Half a billion dollar bill and cut out cards with Billion Dollar Babies and Muscle of Love and School's Out (Love the school desk) also came with stuff.

Not too mention Kiss and their little Love Guns.

We used ours years ago. That was one huge joint too. I can still see the look on everyones faces when we whipped that big thing out. It took four hands to roll that thing.

And my wall was graced for about 3 years with the Dark Side of the Moon poster ... also came w/ stickers which I plastered on the wall too!

I always liked the booklet from the Who's Tommy, and the records too, natch. Some odd images, really liked getting song lyrics. I think I still have the postcards from Floyd's Wish You Were Here, ....somewhere.

I had a bunch of previously mentioned album extras. Also poster from Dave Mason's Split Coconut album. I believe Magical Mystery Tour had a glued in picture booklet. Also a few albums had pull out sleeves with credits on it.

I miss vinyl albums , some cds come with nice booklets , but not many , if they included nice booklets , lyrics etc. more people would buy cds instead of downloading .
Come on music labels make it worthwhile , put out nice packages .

Good thread! (btw that 1973 album was called "Ringo" -- I'm The Greatest, with Ringo John & George, was the first song on it -- still have that booklet, Klaus's illustrations are really well done!)
Tull's "Stand Up" had those cutout figures that indeed stood up when you opened the gatefold -- wish I had that & the newspaper from Thick as a Brick -- do have the White Album & Magical Mystery tour posters/photos/booklet, don't have the cutouts that came with the original Sgt. Pepper though -- what else -- well, still have the Band on the Run poster -- lots & lots of stuff...
Anyone ever hear of the Intergalactic Touring Band? A one-off with people like Meatloaf, Clarence Clemens, Arthur Brown, Rod Argent -- it's from 1977 -- anyways that came with a way cool booklet that was maybe even better than the music (still have it)
Europe 72 -- wonderful booklet with that -- also with Pete Townsend's 1989 solo album, The Iron Man (a great great album IMO) -- also have the Sticky Fingers that when originally issued had a zipper on the cover -- also too, the original red vinyl from J. Geils' killer 1972 album Bloodshot -- don't have the original Alone Together by Dave Mason though, that had psychedelic colors on the vinyl
"Bring back vinyl" -- damn -- it never shoulda gone away in the first place!!

I have

Isaac Hayes "Black Moses" - whole album folds out like a giant cross (about 5 feet high).
Black Oak Arkansas "Raunch & Roll" - inside the album there is a deed for 1 sq. inch of Heaven on earth.
Charlie Daniels - "Fire On The Mountain" - inside the album is a smaller record (45 with a 33 hole) that has 3 cuts from the very first Volunteer Jam, all instrumentals.
