Lowell was truly gifted, the power of the man's voice was amazing. Such emotion.

Only the good die young.

Lowell doesn't play on this song, or in this clip.

But on the rest of this dvd, he is amazing as usual. Waiting For Columbus is still the greatest live album ever recorded.

One of my all-time favorite bands. Man, I loved them when Lowell was around. Another great one gone too soon due to substance abuse. What a shame.

It's great, but I'd rank it in the top 10 or so. LAFE as #1, and lots of othergreat ones as well.

Not for me, Waiting For Columbus is still my favorite live album (especially with all of the bonus cuts added to the 2 cd set.) Fillmore East is in my top 5 though, along with Leon Live, Bob Seger's Live Bullet and Black Oak Arkansas Raunch 'n Roll Live.

As much as I thought Waiting For Columbus was great when it came out, I think there are boots from that era (and a couple years prior) that actually are better recorded with better performances that SHOULD've been officially released.

Back during my peak concert going days of the 70's, there was a two or three years stretch where it seemed like Little Feat was the opening act for about 3/4 of the concerts I attended.

Not too many concerts better than the Little Feat/Dave Mason Band/ABB show I saw at the UC, Santa Barbara football stadium back then.
