Looks like the Milburn is filling up (or already full for some nights), the Beacon has been shunned by many on the list, and the hostel-style hotels won't fly with the women in our group.

Anybody know anything about the Marrakech, Lucerne, or On-the-Avenue hotels?

Until this week, we didn't expect to be staying over, but things have changed. We're a group of 4 looking for a reasonable place. Where are people staying? What can you recommend? The guys don't mind sleeping on the floor if we need to. Thanks.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Milburn was full seeing how most of us from here are booked there!

I'm staying at the Hotel Beacon on 5/13 and On the Avenue on 5/24. I may have an extra one bedroom suite at the Milburn on 5/12-5/14. If one needs to know if this room is available PM me and I can make a decision within 3 days of the PM. Please post on this thread if I am PMed so I will know to look for it.

Was pushed further out to 81st & Columbus due to prices. Got 234.00 a night on the 16th & 17th at the excelsior hotel for the second weekend. Everything else was way overpriced. I am just not into ''shared'' bathrooms at this point in my life. Peace.

Bring a few sleeping bags and or tent... there is nice park just a few blocks east of the Beacon,. some spots with lake view. nice breezes, . Strawberry Field's..NIce weather in May great skyline.....................
the Milburn was nice and fine done that will be back this year again check with the front desk reservations a lot of folks hold their reservations late before cancelling. On the ave. stayed there nice and clean a few blocks up..The Lucerne had had favorable reviews over the years but had always stayed at Beacon Hotel for years i wouldnt eliminate the place!!cant beat the walk home...

We'll be at the Milburn from 5/13 to 5/16 in the AM. We will have to find
another hotel for Friday night 5/16. Beacon and Milburn are sold out for all
weekends in May due to several college graduations. The Beacon is nice and
I wouldn't hesitate to stay there. It was my first choice because of location.
Don't wait to book your reservations. We aren't the only ones looking for
hotel rooms in May. Don't count on cancellations. This isn't March.

Unfortunately, I will be staying right here in my own home! Watching the Beacon DVD! That is as close as I will get this year!
