Totally agree with HtoHe. They were excellent. Well worth seeing, guitar interplay is hair on the neck standing up good
(Will post a pic or two eventually)

I'd be up for that!

Will do, probably would have come if I'd have had more than an afternoon's notice!

See you at Back Door Slam anyway.

It's the old Agricultural pub at the Angel end of Chapel Market. Shame I'm going to be out of town that weekend otherwise i would have met up with you boys and gone to that. I only live down the road and have been itching for a chance to go in there for ages.

If any one is interested by band The Snakeoil Rattlers will be playing at the Gallery Cafe in Bethnal Green (21 Old Ford Road, Bethnal Green, London E2 9PL, Tel: 020 8983 3624 http://www.stmargaretshouse.org.uk/gallery-cafe/gallery-cafe) on Friday 5th February. We'll be playing acoustically and are joined on the bill by our good friends The Jolenes and another band called Muleskinner Blues. The evening starts at 8pm and admission is free. The closest tube is Bethnal Green.

In March we're playing on a Southern Rock bill at the 100 Club but I'll put together a separate post for that.

Jimmie Vaughan and the Tilt-a-Whirl Band ft. Lou Ann Barton Thursday 3rd June SB Empire. O2 presale on now, general sale Saturday 6th. Would love to go to this but a combination of circumstances has left me rooked this month already. Hopefully it will not sell out too quickly!

Thanks for the heads up Jim. Love this guy and hopefully still the same band with George Rains [drums] and Bill Wills on the B3. Saw Jimmy with Boz Scaggs' band in San Francisco October as part of the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival...he was brilliant as ever.

Can't make it I'm afraid ... wish I could ... but I am so busy at work at the moment that midweek gigs in London are out of the question ...

Hope they play some more gigs somewhere nearby at a weekend ...

Gordon ... if you haven't heard anything by Davy Knowles you are in for a treat ... and £8 is a real bargain ... I would gladly pay £18 ...

Hope you have a great time guys ... and get some good pics Al ...

Wow! Very pleasantly surprised.

Very tight three-piece, bags of energy, hi-tempo playing (although Davey likes his volume swells too!).

Set included Rory Gallagher's Messin' With the Kid, CSNY's Almost Cut My Hair, Fleetwood Mac's Oh Well Pt 1, and a very ABB arrangement of YDLM. I think that's all the covers, but stand to be corrected.

Big crowd - bigger than Matt, bigger than Susan, similar to Ian Siegal.

Look forward to seeing them again and watching them develop. Colin - have you thought that, with all these young guns coming through, we could be gigging into our 80s?!!!!!
