Not that big a deal guys thanks for the good wishes. The annoying thing is you take what doctors give you in good faith and it wasn't until I started having joint pain and Alison ( God bless her ) did some internet research that we figured out it could be the Cholesterol lowering drug called simvistatin that was responsible. I went back to the doctor and reported her findings to him and he took me off them straight away

Glad it's not that serious Al. But shame you're not able to make it down. Been too long, mate!

Will be leaving Brizzle at around 3ish, so hope to be at Lloyds by 5:30ish.

My train only gets into Euston at 3, so half an hour on the tube, dump my bag at the hotel and should be at the boozer for 4.30-5.00.

Yes Mike - upstairs just inside the entrance to Fulham Broadway Underground Station.

It will be a mixed night for me as I go in for cataract surgery the following day ...

I'll be at the Mule gig, but my train doesn't pull into St Pancras until around 5:15. I hope to have a few pre show drinks in Lloyds No1, probably be in there around 6:30ish.

JJ Grey & Mofro tomorrow night in Sheffield, looking forward to both, but this one edges it. 8 years since i last saw them.

BLUESFEST 2013

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday 19 July

The Royal Albert Hall will host its first full-scale music festival of its kind this autumn when BluesFest 2013 takes over the building.

The festival will run from 29 October – 1 November and will feature some of music’s leading names including Robert Plant, Bobby Womack, Chris Rea and Van Morrison celebrating music inspired by the blues.

BluesFest, now in its third year, will take over the entire Hall in a full festival format for the first time ever. During the day Daytime Stroller tickets will be sold, granting access to four rooms outside of the main auditorium, including the Elgar Room. These spaces will host a variety of one-off intimate sessions featuring blues & soul-inspired acts such as James Hunter, Marcus Bonfanti, Georgie Fame, Huey Morgan and Dr Feelgood, as well as question & answer sessions, tuition from top musicians, and much more.

Two auditorium concerts will be held each evening, featuring the headliners listed below. BluesFest will be the only opportunity for visitors to see the Royal Albert Hall host an event in this way.

Programme
TUESDAY 29 OCTOBER

Auditorium, 11pm: Bobby Womack
Auditorium, 7pm: Tedeschi Trucks Band • Mavis Staples & her Band
Daytime Stroller: Ray Gelato Giants • Oli Brown Band • Matt Schofield Band • Smoove & Turrell • Nate James (Basement Bar - 14:00-15:00 Oli Brown Band, 15:15-16:15 Matt Schofield Band)

WEDNESDAY 30 OCTOBER

Auditorium, 10:30pm: Gregory Porter and his Band
Auditorium, 7:30pm: Van Morrison
Daytime Stroller: James Hunter Six • Dr Feelgood • Marcus Bonfanti Band • Jo Harman • Natalie Williams • Liane Carroll

THURSDAY 31 OCTOBER

Auditorium, 10:30pm: Robert Plant presents Sensational Space Shifters
Auditorium, 7:30pm: Chris Rea
Daytime Stroller: Royal Southern Brotherhood • Georgie Fame • Ian Seigal • Ben Poole • World Party (Elgar Room - 14:00-15:00 Royal Southern Brotherhood, 15:30-16:30 Georgie Fame, Basement Bar - 14:00-15:00 Ian Seigal Band)

FRIDAY 1 NOVEMBER

Auditorium, 10:30pm: TBA
Auditorium, 7:30pm: All Star Tribute to Bobby Bland
Daytime Stroller: Huey Morgan & The New Yorkers • Cerys Matthews • Nell Brydon • The Motives feat. Matt Taylor • Jess Roberts

Tickets
Tickets go on general sale at 9am on Friday 19 July and start from £30 for headlines shows. Daytime Stroller tickets are sold separately and are available for £10 per person. Booking fees apply except to personal callers to the Box Office.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------- -----------------------------------------------

I'm no fan of the RAH. I hope the tickets are priced reasonably, or there could be a lot of empty seats (including mine!).

The Daytime Strollers sound like a steal!
