So which pub did you decide on?

I think we will leave it up to the footy fans amongst us to decide which pub to meet in. I'll get to my hotel about 2.30.

May I suggest that anyone wanting to meet Colin and watch the footy, meet first in the Shepherd and Flock and then go the Sindercombe afterwards for grub.

That sounds good to me Jim ... I will head to the Shepherd & Flock about 2-30

If the pub is no good - for whatever reason - I will send you all a text and let you know

I will not post your full numbers here, but the last four digits I have for you are as follows:

Jim = 2504

Gordon = 1871

Martyn = 4990

Barry = 0462

Mike - I don't have a number for you ?

Please PM or text me if numbers have changed ... my number is the same as it ever was ...

Looking forward to seeing you all there ...

See you there!

It should only be 5mins to Walkabout if need be.

It's a 3.30 kick-off, right?

Is the Walkabout still a pub ? I dont see any mention on websites.

Game starts at 3pm I think ? Gordon.

It looks to me like the Walkabout is indeed shut down ...

Also, the Shepherd & Flock looks rather small and according to reports is an old school Irish Bar that tends to show horse racing for the local punters ... not sure if there are any race meetings on Monday ...

Anyway ... if required there is another possible alternative ... opposite Shepherds Bush tube station at the south east corner of the green there is a sports bar called Belushi's ... I will check that out on my way to the Hotel and keep you posted ...

You wouldn't think organising a p!$$ up in a pub would be quite so difficult ... I blame Barry being awol ... he normally has good advice on London pubs ...

Colin, I can tell you from painful personal experience how hard it is to arrange meet-ups in London pubs to watch football matches on tv!

Especially if it is a Scottish league match not involving the Old Firm when there are English matches on tv at the same time!

Unless you go to a multi-screen sports bar, you're as well to stay at home and watch on your own.

At least your match is the only one being played and televised on Monday, I think.

Excellent gig tonight. Second set was so intense. Loved the Little Bit Of Love tribute to Andy Fraser. Met Warren later outside the gig, an amazing individual, so humble and down to earth.

Can agree with that, Mike! Glad to hear you met WH after the show.

I think that's by far the biggest crowd for a Govt Mule show I've seen in London. They've been around - The Mean Fiddler, The Forum, Under The Bridge, Brooklyn Bowl - but the SBE was more full than any.

Maybe the holiday weekend brought in more out of towners.

Good to see everyone again!

Ha ha ... talk about great minds ... I just looked that up myself ... my elusive brain cell has popped back into place temporarily and I remember it well now ... and will probably do so for at least a couple of days ...

Elliott Randall is/was a session player primarily, but made his name with Steely Dan, playing the solo on Reelin' In The Years. Easily the most famous solo played by any of the 4 up on stage on Monday night i would have thought. I just find him amusing to watch with all his gurning skills . The sax player is Joe McGlohon.

Nice chatting with Harvey in the Ibis bar late on too. Get some Umphrey's on the stereo, Sir !!!

Nice chatting with you too my friend ... an unexpected but very enjoyable extension to what was a great day all round for me ... starting with my hometown team Norwich winning at Wembley!

Looks like Junior Mack could be touring UK with the Heritage Blues Orchestra. Just got my stewarding list for St Georges Bristol and they are there on Weds 3rd June. Nothing on their website yet.

What a great gig! Thoroughly recommended for those of you that can get to the gigs in Liverpool (Friday) and London Jazz Cafe (Sunday). Nice to have a quick chat with Junior beforehand. Just shows that they take note of what's on here as he asked me if it was me who had posted on HTW about tonight's gig. If you want to talk to them before the gig you'll probably find them in the nearest Nandos! They were certainly quite in praise of the Bristol Park Street one throughout the show.

I'd never heard of Otis Grand before but I thought he stole the show at the Walter Trout benefit show last year. And that was playing under-rehearsed with the house band.

I see that he is playing Under The Bridge (Chelsea F.C.) on Friday 22 January.

Early bird tickets are just 10 which could, even this early, be the bargain of 2016!

Here are some more bargains!

The free lunchtime jazz sessions at the Cadogan Hall return this summer. It's a cool way to spend a hot summer's day!

Sonny Landreth - Under The Bridge - 26 October (22).

I will go but I must say I got bored last time I saw him at The Borderline.
