So, no UK dates on the TTB European spring tour and none either for Bela Fleck & Chick Corea in the summer.

Is this due to slide v. $?

I was expecting a post-Brexit impact due to customs barriers being reimposed but this is a depressingly quick turn of events.

Govt Mule Euro Tour -

3 June at Music Legends Festival in Bilbao, SP
6 June at De Roma in Antwerp, BE (On Sale 21 Mar)
8 June at Den Atelier in Luxembourg, LU
10 June at Holland International Blues Festival in Grollloo, NL
12 June at FZW in Dortmund, DE
13 June at Tollhaus in Karlsruhe, DE
14 June at Kaufleuten in Zurich, CH
15 June at Live Club in Milan, IT (On Sale TBA)
17 June at WUK in Vienna, AT (On Sale 22 Mar)

So, no UK date(s) yet? The website says it's a nine-date tour so it looks like that's it.

No TTB, no Mule - WTF?

We're not out of the EU yet but it seems we may as well be...

I will be en-route to Iceland to take my wife whale watching for her 60th birthday ... otherwise I may well have been tempted by that one ...

Well it certainly looks like GM are giving the U.K a miss this time round just as TTB have this coming week or so. Not sure if it's a money thing or not as I have seen a few American band here recently who play to a lot less people and charge a lot less for tickets.
You would of thought that playing in Europe, then one more flight to England would not break the bank.
Really gutted it's not happening this year, (fingers crossed for next year) as last year GM played 3 shows here which were all well received, especially Holmfirth which sold out.

I was planning on getting the Mrs. some flowers and take her to a nice restaurant. You have to come along with Iceland and whale watching. Hope you are aware that you just raised the bar for all the guys now?

Knowing Bluesfest, they would schedule them at the same time!

Well last nights Blackberry Smoke show was the best of the five I have seen them perform over the last three years.
Not only playing much bigger venues this time round but the relentless touring has certainly tightened this band up. Highlights were just too numerous to mention.
And it was only after the show had finished and the houselights went up and the crowd started to leave the hall, did a large number of fans at the front continued clapping and cheering until the houselights went down again and the band came back out to perform a rousing version of the Allmans 'Blue Sky', which they dedicated to the memory of Butch Trucks.

Indeed hopefully we can get up to town early, but that is depending on when Helen finishes work. I'm looking forward to it, I think it's a good time to catch this young upstart

Are there any UK based forum members familiar with the UK band Northsyde? They are currently on the road and have a bunch of UK dates in the coming weeks. Check them out! Saw them last night. Awesome musicians and a great female vocalist. They have their own material (no cover / tribute band) which is mostly funky bluesrock and throw in a few covers which ussually contain one or two Allman Brothers Band (related) songs. Last night they played "Statesboro Blues" and their own spin on the classic "Whippin' Post". Especially their guitarist appears to be a big Allman Brothers & family bands fan and cites Jack Pearson as his favorite guitarist!!! Great band!
