Hold up. I haven't bought my ticket yet unless one of you guys got one for me. To be honest this was the first I've heard of the show. I know I'm normally a little more hardcore, but I will admit I do fancy sitting down for this one.

Just had a thought. If you let me know where you guys are sitting I see if I can sit close (and don't say "on the roof" Jim) as I reckon I'll be on my own for this one. I'll get mine from the box office in the next couple of days so should be able to choose a seat.

Any of you fine fellows in Euroland recieve your pre-ordered DTB "already free" yet?

Nope and I don't have the 2008 Instant Lives I ordered yet either

Just thought you might like to get a bit "higher", Barry!!

By the way I'm in soapy bubble over this one - I rushed in to booking the tix and B&B for Alan and I without cottoning on it's my wedding anni! (Not that that would have stopped me ) She's very understanding and she goes out Wednesdays!

Here's a thought - why don't we have a picnic in Kew Gardens or Hyde Park (other suggestions welcome) some Saturday or Sunday afternoon in the summer with our other halves? Just thought that London is perhaps the most easliy accessible by public transport for most of us.

Do we have to have another half? I might be able to find one by the summer. Speaking of which, I recall an ex always used to refer to manitou as "The guy with the hot lady".

Right just went up the road and got my DTB ticket. I'm Level 1 Centre Row: B Seat: 19. So of all you front row boys - whose chair am I gonna be kicking the back of.

Barry,
Just meant it as an informal gathering open to all to bring partners/friends if they wanted to, not as a prerequisite! Singletons welcome. Don't bring that lass from Aberdeen that was at Gregg's gig though, or I might get myself in trouble with the missus!

Barry ... you will be directly behind "scotiadave" ... and just to the side of me ... I have the first seat on the side arm

Jim - You're only suggesting a summer picnic to get you out of missing your wedding anniversary!

Sounds like a cool idea. Kew Gardens would suit me fine, but it's not very central. I remember many, many years ago I was down from Glasgow staying with my then future brother-in-law in Kew. There used to be a music venue called The Kew Boathouse and I saw the Albion Country Band (or whatever Ashley Hutchings was calling himself at the time!).

I digress.

Johnny Winter at SBE on Sat 23 May. I won't be going - I left early last time.............

Just like London buses ... they all come at once ... Jim and I are going to see EC @ RAH the night before ... unlikely I will do two nights in a row ... unless the missus happens to be visiting her Mother ... Hmmm ... must check the diary

Anyone heard any rumours about Springsteen UK dates? His site shows US & European tour dates, but no UK dates. However there's a gap the last two weeks in June, which happens to include the Glastonbury weekend, where he's been rumoured for. So it would make sense for some other UK dates around that time if that's true. Anyone heard any other rumours for the UK?

So is anyone going to see Bruce Sprinsteen in London's Hyde Park on 28th June? Tix went on sale for those registered to livenation.co.uk today and the general sale is tomorrow at 9am.

I'd love to Barry but I've been boycotting TM since their pathetic performance re Springsteens' (Wonderful) shows last year. No access to a pc at 9am anyway...... or my resolve might have cracked. If Livenation or ticketweb or whoever have any left tomorrow night I'll have a look but I imagine this will sell out quickly. Wonder how much tix will be as they started at 55 last year for Bruce alone and Hyde Park Calling has a large bill usually. Not like Bruce to play a show like that.

Springsteen just officially announced for Glastonbury, hopefully some "warm-up" UK dates will be announced so we can get full shows, not festival shows.

I would have loved to have seen Van Morrsion doing Astral Weeks at the RAH but the prices were just silly - 50-200.

I expect CSN to be the same.

Fortunately I saw CSN last time over in UK (2005?) and although I would happily see them again I am not going to pay extortionate prices for a Wed night at the RAH ... especially just a couple of days after BB King's gig at Wembley ... if they had NY in tow this time around it would have been different ... but I have such a wonderful memory of the last CSN gig in my head that I don't want to risk spoiling it ... if that makes sense? ... if it doesn't then blame it on the Gin

Would love to been able to go toCSN, but with 3 London overnights already booked for DTB, Clapton & Skynyrd and a 80 ticket price and the merch tables at the HTN party and Beacon to support, I couldn't afford it! Hoping that Little Feat at Oxford won't sell out before I come back from the Beacon - that'll be a great venue to see them.

Bruce Springsteen doesn't perform at festivals that often. Besides Glastonbury he is scheduled for the Pinkpop Festival in the Netherlands. It's the 40th edition of the festival
(the oldest running open air festival in Europe) and Bruce is the special anniversary treat.
The official press release stated that he would perform with the E Street Band and do a full 2 1/2 to 3 hours show so who knows....may Glastonbury as well

Rumour on Planet Rock that Neil Young to be announced for the first night of Hard Rock Calling. Missed out on Springsteen tix as it sold out in 1 hour but should have a better chance for Neil if it happens.
