PLEASE RECYCLE!

No, this is not a message about environmental degredation but rather a message about online-community degredation. Please recycle previous threads in this forum and, thereby, improve the environment of conversation here.

This HTW forum, not unlike many others on the internet, has some users who suffer from TADD (Thread-Attention Deficit Disorder). Threads should be created to start a NEW discussion. New threads should not be created for the sake of instant gratification.

The more threads there are, the more everyone is talking and the less everyone is listening. That doesn't make for much of an online community.

Please look before you leap. Before starting a new thread, do a search for an existing thread that is relevant to your post. While I didn't start out this way, this has been my m.o. on this site (and others) for about a year now. What's happened, unintentionally, is that I find myself reading old threads that are interesting even if they are not directly relevant to my post.

PLEASE RECYCLE THREADS! Thank you.

This is a great point. I'm going to start a thread about it.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Actually, the correct spelling of Bullwinkle J. Moose's alma mater is Wassamatta U.

Yeah, that whole relationship with a squirrel wasn't acceptable at that time. He was kicked out. Today nobody would care.

Kicked out for his relationship with a squirrel? Sounds like discrimination to me! He should have gone directly to the ACL Wassamatta U.
