Soul Stew Revival with Scrapomatic in Rochester NY at High Falls Brewery July 11th.

Is anybody else going to this? I just picked up two tickets and I'm not from that area.
Has anyone ever been to the High Falls Brewery for a show and can you tell me about it?
The tickets say GENERAL ADMISSION but there's still a Section/aisle , a Row/box and a seat listed on the ticket.
So I kind of don't get it. It's either G.A. or it's not.

I'm gonna be in Cooperstown earlier in that week for a baseball tournament so I thought what an awesome way to end the week and shoot up to Rochester afterward for this show!

Can't wait!

If you know anything about this or are from the area and going let me know.

Thanks.

I'm from Rochester and this is a brand new venue for concerts in the area. It definitely is a general admission site. No seats or reserved seating. The Derek/Susan show is the first show at this site.

Oh and I'll be there.

I'm in, just got my July work schedule and it puts me right there on the 9, 10, and 11th. A surprise for me and a great way to end the work week.

Cool! Nice hearing back from you both - Icantdry55 and statesborobluesguy!
I am very excited about this show.
My son is playing baseball in Cooperstown next week and the closing ceremonies are Thursday the 10th.
So, Friday morning, I expect to shoot up to Rochester ( mapquest and google says about a 3 and 1/2 hour drive from Cooperstown.)
Most likely, I'll be wearing a retro eat a peach t-shirt with 1973 concert line up on the back. Say hello if you see me.

Soul Stew! Whoo Hoo!

I'll be there....not familiar with Rochester myself....from what i can see from the website is that it's an outdoor event & fortunately looks like it is gonna be a beautiful day! of course ANY chance to see Derek and/or Susan is a wonderful day!!!

Just got back from the show. Awesome!!! Not that I expected less...I also really enjoyed Srapomatic. I'm not a big fan of Mike Mattison but I thought their set was excellent.

There's just nothing like outdoor music in the summer when the weather cooperates. Thanks Derek & Susan!!!

Loved the show. Great versions of Anyday, The Weight, and Hey Jude.

I thought the show was a little short.

Looking forward To Levon and Phil Lesh this afternoon

Yeah! It was great!!! Was a littlle short but absolutely AWESOME!!!!

I may have the setlist slightly wrong but if they followed what they put on paper, my son got one of them -- which includes the key they played in on each -- here goes:

1. Don't Do It . (G)
2. People (D)
3. I wants to be loved (C)
4. Anyday (A)
5. Don't Think Twice (C)
6. Don't Cry No More (F)
7. Pack Up Our Things And Go (E)
8. Sugar C#/F
9. Get Out My Life/ Glad you're Gone (D)
10. Little By Little w/ Adrianne Hayes (A)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADRIANNE
11. Hercules / Drums (Bb)
12. Hey Jude (Ab)
13. Key To The Highway (A)
14. The Weight Bb/b

My son and I got there pretty early. We got a spot right in front of the stage on
Kofi's side and near where Susan stood.

I was talking to Derek's dad before the show. What a nice man and rightfully proud father.
This was my son, Matt's first ever concert. He's turning 13 in August. He had an absolute blast and so did I!! We met some really cool people up front. Everyone was so nice.
My son had just finished up a baseball tournament and he hit 3 home runs in Cooperstown.
So this was our end of the trip to see Soul Stew! And what a great ending it was!!!!
It was so worth the drive!!

I hope somebody recorded this show and puts it on
the DTB setlist website.

The show was surreal to me. When we arrived there were only about 200 people on line and we were about 40 back from the front of the line to get in.
By the time Soul Stew played the place was absolutely mobbed with people -- Way more people than the Highfalls Brewery expected. And, since it was the first ever concert for them, the lines for food and drink were way too long.
But that didn't matter. This was a great show!
What else can I say except Derek is and was incredible.
Susan was great. Kofi was great. Mike Mattison and Scrapomatic were real good! Yonrico and Duane were great.
Todd was great and Count M'Butu was lookin real cool with his shades on and the horn section was also incredible. Especially the sax player. They all hit a huge home run in my book and a first concert in the front row that my son Matt will never, ever forget -- you never forget your first!!!
His next concert will be with me again on August 13th at Jones Beach for the Brothers. Can't wait! Whew!

I'm still floating!

Humphrey's by the Bay

We're in the 8th row, dead center for the 7/28, "Soul Stew" show @ Humphrey's by the bay in San Diego. This venue is right on San Diego bay and for some shows, people watch and listen from their boats just to the left of the crowd in the photo above. On 7/26, we have tickets for the Los Lobos/Los Lonely Boys show @ Viejas. Should be a fine weekend of music and debauchery.....

this show was simply ACE!!! of course Derek & Susan are both untouchable at what they do....so combine them & you get double wow! i agree the show could have been a little longer, but if it was about quality rather than quantity, well, they hit the freakin' note for sure! every song was awesome...every one was in synch with each other & blended to gether so well. the venue was ok... they'll learn as they go i'm sure..totally worth the 2 hour ride for me!

I thought the show was great. Definitely a whole lot different than a DTB or STB show that's for sure. Derek was, as per usual, the standout of the show for me. Susan was great, but Derek is just amazing. I also thought Scrapomatic was great.
