I don't think that will be a problem, Isaac. I can't make this year, either, but I know several folks who weren't at last year's event that did get shirts.

Isaac, if you ever get a chance bro, Jam For Duane! It will change your life! The people, musicians, FamABBly members you will meet are priceless. I will miss the next few years, while out of the country, but you better believe I will be there when we come home!

There will be an open stage jam at The Sports Page on Saturday Nov. 1 from 1PM to 4PM.

Until then, you can catch Brent Sibley and The Skydogs around town, Lefty Collins, Albert Simpson and Highly Kynd, etc., around Gadsden, AL.

Bro. Gibson,
We're right up the road in Gadsden.
Jamming? Oh yeah, baby. All day and night Saturday Nov. 1.
Friday night is the formal show that pays all the bills, $15, several bands featuring Gregg's son Michael, Berry Oakley Jr., Derek's brother Duane, several others. Happenings around town afterward. Many people from the site converge every year, to honor the life and legacy of Duane Allman. Many of his friends come around too. I think you'll like it.

Lefty Collins has moved here, he's playing tonight at the Downtown Tavern, may have other gigs upcoming. Albert Simpson plays every Wednesday at Blackstone, across the street, often joined by Brent, Lefty, others. Albert's band, Highly Kind, will be playing the formal JFD show.

There's other stuff going on frequently these days too. Check in here, someone usually keeps things posted. Good idea to get with us before the Oak Mtn. show too, meet some more of the group from our area.

Looking forward to meeting you soon!

Mr Gibson,

About the Jam for Duane....when the venues close we go back to the hotel and have a damned great play/sing along....

And we don't stop until the front office complains at least 3 times.... and sometimes not even then....

Come on down...you will have the time of your life....

Oh yeah.....bring some beer....

Eastaboga..............Cool. Always see that sign on my way to Bham so you should be real close to the Jam. There's a little ritual that goes along with the sighting of the sign but I won't go into that here! Though one of you may know what I'm talking about!

Well, ya got my attention. I'm interested in hearing what the ritual is when you pass the Eastaboga exit. I would probably add it to my list of ritualistic habits. Can't wait to meet ya'll soon

rjlgibson, what part of Upstate NY are you from. I have family in Clifton Park, and we have a cabin on Lake Sacandaga. We were just up there last month, and the wife went to the races in Saratoga!

Oh yes Michael, I assumed that you had heard our great news. Audrey (my wife) is taking a job in Germany with the Army Contracting Division, and I am going to find a gov't job once we get there. I am already applying for jobs, but don't get spousal preference until we get over there. We have agreed to 3 years, and if Audrey does really well, we may stay for an additional 2 years after that. I am really excited.

Thanks for your concern. Sadly we will both miss JFD it seems! Hope I get to see you in ATL in Oct.

Peace Drew
