So I was searching for videos from last night's Raleigh show and found this...no I wasn't looking for Hanson videos.

I don't even know what to say...I think I'll just leave it simply as that:

That was a bit . . . odd.

I think to do an effective cover of Black Hearted Woman, you shouldn't sound like a woman yourself.

Yeah, that's mean, and I'm kinda joking . . . but I'm kinda not, too. The music wasn't bad, but the vocals did not match the content of the lyrics, IMO.

Although I haven't seen or heard anything by them, what I have read is that ever since they escaped the management that was forcing them into that teen idol Top 40 makes me wanna puke genre and took control of their own careers, they have been very well received by their audiences and critics alike.

I don't disagree with that sentiment. And He is not bad on the guitar. I am certainly glad to see bands cover good music but please.

that was really good, and who cares if it was hanson or not? it was still good...and what also makes it good is that they chose to cover an allmans song that you NEVER hear get covered.

Give these guys a little credit. They could be covering anyone, and they chose ABB. Someone taught the young dudes who to listen to, and they got it.

My son who is a hard core Southern Rock fan loves Hanson. They have come a long way from MMMbop according to him.
He saw them in Nashville this weekend and they played SOULSHINE! He said it was great but he seemed to be the only on in the audience that knew the words!!

I thought it sounded great, glad they are under control of their own career now, it shows in the music. I think the ABB would dig that Hanson is covering one of their songs, maybe the same way The Band felt when ABB covered The Night They Drove Ol Dixie Down, or Van Morrison when they covered Into The Mystic. or Clapton when they covered Layla... really no difference in the either situation.

Look for Hanson to sit in with the Bro's at the Beacon on "M-bop".
