All of the Phil shows from last year are on the Archive..

I attended 2 of them and they were off the hook

Phil's band is KILLER!

Much better then that OTHER spin off band, IMHO

They were awesome last year. Nokia has the best sound system that I have ever heard. I'm going to all three Saturday shows this year and I can't wait.

Phils band is great. You have to go see them. They are better then the last 2 or 3 years of the Dead....and I love Jerry.

Definitely go. Last year I went figuring it would be worth going just to hear Phil's bass in a small theatre. I hadn't kept tabs on Phil since the Warren and Jimmy hey day and I don't like Ryan Adams and Trey so I lost him there for a while. Well....... from the opening notes of Bertha, I was very surprised. I knew Larry Cambell was great from being a Dylan fan but who the hell was this young kid with the brass balls to be singing Jerry and Pig tunes with such swagger and playing guitar and B-3. Jackie Green was a big surprise. He's not the Dylanesque genious some of his fans think he is but he breathed new life into Phil without the whineyness of Ryan Adams.

I think of the progression from Warren and Jimmy to Larry and Jackie as the 68 psycheldic Dead morphing into the song based countryish American Beauty era Dead.

The Nokia shows last year had some nights were Ryan showed up and other guests made things less cohesive. I was glad to be there on a night where it was tight and focused and I hope I get the same kind of show.

And yes, maybe the best sound in a smaller room I've heard.

And from the recordings I've heard and the reviews from fans it seems Jackie has stepped up his playing since signing on last year. Really looking forward to this run.
Jackie has the physicality of Dylan also.
