This is no BS folks, I lost a close friend because of this schmuck, my former friend works at a desk job and listens to Limbaugh every day all day has been since he's been on the air. He is totally brainwashed and blames the mortgage crisis on African Americans walking out on their mortgages, I told him people of all color walked out on their mortgages, and they were made so enticing by white collar criminals motivated by greed how could anyone refuse. He is miserable all the time, has stomach problems, etc. I told him to stop listening to the idiot and think for himself, it hasn't worked so far.

Dear Prospective Plaintiff,

No, you cannot sue Rush, as your friendship is not a compensable loss. Recommend that your friend be told that music has been shown to increase happiness, so suggest to him that he swap Rush for tunes, gradually. Or, you may have to let him hit rock bottom, which I suspect will be soon.

Sincerely Yours,

I don't think rush is blaming african americans solely for the mortgage crisis.

What's so stupid about Limbaugh making some people sick? I think he makes a lot of people sick. If you "listen" between the lines you can really hear the hate, and far more frivolous law suits have been contemplated.
Do me a favor Chris, put your Old Milwaukee down, wipe the potato chips off your chest, step outside your trailer park, there's a whole world out there.

Edit: you're swimming upstream...but the good news is that if you do sue and win, he has enough money to pay you off.

This from Wikipedia: As of 2006, Arbitron ratings indicated that The Rush Limbaugh Show had a minimum weekly audience of 13.5 million listeners, making it the largest radio talk show audience in the United States. On July 2, 2008, Matt Drudge reported that Limbaugh signed a contract extension through 2016 that is worth over $400 million, breaking records for any broadcast medium television or radio

The only market Limbaugh can survive in is daytime AM radio,he tried TV and failed. His earnings to me are not an indication of his success or inteligence and don't impress me, he merely has the daytime am radio market covered.

You could call it the "Hate Market"....what with Rush, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Bill O' Reilly and their ilk all spewing their toxic venom.......hate sells. Aways has, always will.

P.S. I used to get all worked up when I listened to Rush until I started viewing him as an entertainer rather than a journalist. Then I actually enjoyed listening to his hyperventilated rantings....plus I wanted to be listening when he finally suffered either that massive coronary or Grand Mal Seizure on the air....

I've always been amazed at the people that hang onto to every word that Rush spits out. They can't formulate their on opinion or ideas so they take Limbaugh as the gospel and Ruch is simply a blow hard. I think it's the drugs talking.

C'mon John. Don't insult Jerry like that. At least Jerry had an involvement in politics.

I feel really bad for the bankers and mortgage lenders who were trying to be responsible, but were forced at gun point to make these loans. I feel bad for all the brokers who were trying to tell their clients that they really couldn't afford that McMansion, but were forced to find a lender under threat of physical harm from their client. I feel bad for Amway, whose business model was usurped by the bankers anxd lenders. Who would have thought that a pyramid scam wouldd eventually run out of suckers, er, I mean buyers. Damn those folks, whio made all of the above, fine, moral businesses do things that they were warning the public not to do.

I never mentioned Rush Limbaugh.

I never demonized anyone.

I merely pointed out that the Ownership Society was a Bush policy.

I worked at a very high level at a major private subprime lender for 5 years, and I don't think that politics or politicians had anywhere near as much to do with what happened as people are making it out to be. I think that way simply because I had a close-up view that not a lot of others had.

Then you quoted me because I seemingly blamed the bad loans on Democrats or Liberals. I know Republicans like Sean Hannity want to blame most of the problem on Democrats like Barney Frank. And I also know the Republicans barely and rarely take responsibility for something that didn't work, but the same is true of Democrats. Hannity and O'Reilly blame Barney Frank, Fannie May and Freddie Mack and groups like ACORN. Hey, I'm just trying to put my two cents into the fray.

Well, they blame those entities because it is politically expedient to do so.

IMO, the reason the whole damn thing is collpasing is that millions of Americans bought all kinds of things with money that didn't exist - that's my personal view on simplifying the whole thing. Take Circuit City as one example. Maybe they are going under because millions of dollars of electronic equipment went out the door and alot of it never got paid for.

I agree, people with plastic, and the people behind the plastic, together they have helped to cripple the economy. College kids too, and very young people, both tons of stuff on credit that they could never realistically pay for. The same bad credit loans extended to the housing market. So our country is now going to suffer for the excess. I guess it's back to realistic credit limits, down payments on houses will increase and there will now be MONEY DOWN on house loans, and no more NINJA, no income, no JOB, LOANS. So meanwhile the Republicans blame the Democrats and vice versa.

Add in making ARM loans illegal, my personal statement against this mess...and we are in agreement!
