I've always felt that Faces were a huge influence on the Black Crowes.

They'll tell you that same thing. Faces, Humble Pie and Stones were HUGE early influences on The Black Crowes.

edit: added Humble Pie as influence on BC.

My favorite song on the "Every Picture Tells A Story" LP. Better than Maggie Mae.
In fact all the songs are better than Maggie. Great drum solo. I think Mickey Waller did the solo on the album track.

Rare Earth covered it, too. I also liked the Temptations (original) version.
That Faces version ... maaan! What a band!

The Temtations did this song first I believe, playing it right now on the ipod.

And I think Kenny Jones played the drums on the album cut too, same Faces lineup for that one song instead of the studio musicians.

Great video, but I am confused. Thuis was on the Rod Stewart solo lp Every Picture.... but was not only any Faces release? Is that right? I really enjoyed a Nod is as Good as a Wink to a Blind Horse- great title too!

All of the Faces appeared on the Every Picture Tells A Story album, but exactly who played on "I'm Losing You" is lost to rock mysteryhistory...

I have a credit list for each song for that album and it is the Faces lineup from the video. Stewart, Wood, Lane, Jones and Mac.
