I am thinking about getting one of these .....

Would appreciate hearing from anyone with experience using these or an alternative loop pedal....

Thanks

Ridiculous! I am also in the market for a jamman. I'm thinking though that while the jamman is more versatile with the USB interface, larger and expandable memory with card drive, the Boss Loop Pedal is a lot more simple to use. I guess the Boss can record up to sixteen minutes, which is more than enough for the average musician.

The jamman is cheapest at $249.99 Hai. I'm watching a group of them on eBay. And they ain't gettin' any cheaper.

I like the usb feature. Seems like these jammans were in the $299.00 range at one time.

I just watched that youtube clip demo. I say go for it. I think I may have just changed my mind about the jamman and go with the Boss too! Simple to use and a lot cheaper.

BTW- every time I tell Darcie why I want a loop pedal she laughs at me- to play with myself.

I have the RC-20XL and I love it. It is very easy to use. And it sounds incredible. Tons of features like the loop quantize function for those of us whose timing is a little suspect. Litterally my at home practicing consists of creating a loop and jamming for hours on end. Drives my wife and kid crazy. I believe it was around $250.00. A pedal is sold separtely that is used with the 20XL to call up stored loops on the fly for about $50.00 which is my only beef. The next one up the RC-200 I believe is around $500.00 and has all the bells and whistles. I've always liked Boss pedals and feel they are the best.

I have the RC 2 and use it to go play solo sets all the time. I just pre program the backing track in the pedal and hit play when I want to do the song. It's very easy to use.

I finally pulled the trigger on this pedal and I think it's awesome! Super easy to use like I hoped.

I also got a great deal on a 30 watt Crate acoustic amp with built-in effects- $115 used at Guitar Center. I'm sitting here in the hotel in North Carolina and have been enjoying playing with myself until late in the night all week!

Gotta tell y'all that this is one of the best purchases on gear I have ever made. I love this thing. I read the manual to get the idea of how and when to use it and what for. I was off and running within thirty minutes. And I pretty much have it down cold now. The biggest adjustment is sensing the right moment to tap the pedal for the loop to be complete, so that it sounds like it's restarting in the right spot every time.

Peace~!

I had an origianl jam man, upgraded to 32 seconds of loop, but the memory chips have gotten very noisey.

My GNX4 pedal has the jam man functions built in.

you can do it in software with Protools or Logic Pro on the the Mac.

I have this one except it is split into two pedals. This makes alot less "tap dancing". But I love to use it to jam with.

I tried one of these last week. I love it. I've been using my laptop to record/play along with a track. what a PITA. The loop pedal makes it soooo much easier.
