I just checked out this recording and it is indeed 12/1/70. Wrong date but another source.

I found this on DAT while i was looking for the rest of my Delaney and Bonnie shows.
Strangely, I found no reference for this show BUT one for 2 sets from the previous night.
This is definately from the master, so it may be new to circulation.

Anytime you hear about Duane playing with them, Curtis Dixon Hall is always mentioned...
Never knew he did any other D&D gigs...
this show has Duane all over the place!!
A VERY decent recording - on par with many from this venue...BUT STILL > the Dead tapes from here sound better...!?!

Also note, as this was the last of a multi-night run, there may have only been one show.
there was no info as to "early or Late" on this master tape.
ENJOY!

I don't know a thing about torrents, unfortunately. I'd love to hear this thing!

I would like to hear it too, don't think I have heard Duane on any live version of Layla. Will check it out.

Edit

Forgot that this site is not taking new members, have tried to join several times but they are always maxed out on member space. Oh well, guess I won't be checking it out.

Ooops, sorry. I see that the original poster has posted his own correction.

Hate to be the wet blanket, but don't get too excited. Look at the later comments, including a couple from our own brothers:

quote:
In comment #3082792 dutchoneill wrote something like this:

My sense is that this is a rearranged Tampa, Masahiko is gonna check it out when he comes home from the EC show and weigh in on this.

quote:
Back from EC show just right now and DLed this source and listened to a few tracks.
It's sorry that this source is definitely same as Tampa show, 12/01/70.
Not a John Tsalikes tape, but same source as redlight's bootleg "Tampa Bay Blues" source. Tracks listing is changed from original, only just a fake show. Period.

Thanks Wott, but I got the same message below again, I give up.

We are very sorry!

At the moment, there are at least 102,340 registered users at www.dimeadozen.org, the maximum allowed under DIME's current configuration.

However, free slots become available for new users daily as inactive accounts are deleted. When DIME has fewer than 102,340 registrants, new users can sign up. Please note that the statistics on DIME's web site are updated every ten minutes; therefore, you may see this message even if the web site reports fewer registered users than the maximum.

Thank you very much for your understanding.

The Bobby Whitlock - Derek And The Dominos Thread*

If your a Whitlock or D&D fan you should read it. I'm only half way thru it, lots of inside info from Bobby.

12/1/70 definitely features Duane, but there is only ONE D&D show with him. Anything else circulating is bogus.

yes,it's w/Duane..but,it's the Tampa show...not a new "undiscovered" or uncirculated show or anything.

Sounds like Duane.....very good. Layla is a little slurred at the beginning from the tape I guess. I couldn't remember my specifics about Dime sign in wise so I registered and it took me.

I got it playing now. Sounds good.

Thanks
