Watch the video and decide for yourself bit I think he knows at this point he is in this for ratings and money. His hate is frightening and his creepy laughing at the end of this video is downright weird.

Glen Beck doesn't even seem very bright. But he is making millions scaring people, so I doubt he'll stop

from the interviews and articles i've read, GB doesn't seem dumb at all. he's acutely aware that he is a performer. he's made a career out of this shtick and now that he's at Fox his particular brand of lunacy has really taken hold with viewers. so yes, he's an opportunist, and i do believe that he walks a fine line, but ultimately the joke is on the people who take him seriously. of course, that joke would be a lot funnier, and a lot less scary, if people were capable of separating entertainment from news (or fantasy from reality).

He says some things that sound really dumb, but you're probably right. You don't land a gig like his being a dummy. And you are right about the loyal followers of all these guys. They are the ones with the wool over their eyes.

If the Huffington Post and MSNBC are attacking Beck, he must be doing something right. In the last week or two I have noticed a ramped up fear of Glenn Beck by the left. I am sure it is his ratings. Funny how they never attack the message, just the messanger. Typical. Well, he saved my parents retirement because they got out of the stock market two years ago based on Glenn Beck and his information? He has been spot on on many things and it is no mistake that he is being attacked by the left and the CFR.
For the same reason Gerald Celente and Peter Schiff are now being attacked by the left.

If you wanted to be honest JPB, all the left does is attack the message. Do a search for Beck and the lying he does. If thats not attacking the message, what is?

There's nothing in this whole thread that attacks his message. Just typical name-calling crap.

Anybody who's "scared" of G. Beck is fostering a lot of misplaced fear IMO.

I think I can say quite confidently that NOBODY is scared of Beck. The man has a horrible history of lying. Im not sure why you guys always want to put stock in folks like that.

I'm not putting any stock in him because I don't even watch his show. His style is irritating to me, so I surf past him. I was just commenting on the reaction from the Left, which is exactly how things are always handled. Anybody that doesn't buy into liberalism is a crazy fool, and you think you have it won right then.

They are afraid of him, that is why they are attacking him. Otherwise they wouldn't give him the time of day. Instead they are taking high profile media shots at him. Twice last week MSNBC took shots at Beck trying to discredit him. It was blatant and clear that they view him as a threat. On top of that they are not attacking the message at all? As for his lies, please expound on that. I am not saying you aren't right, I would just like to know exactly what it is that he is lying about? I don't watch Olberman and wouldn't expect anyone on the left to watch Beck. It is just surprising that the left media feels they need to attack him personally? It does show some fear in the 3 million viewers that he has. He is amassing a huge base that doesn't drink the kool-aid. They are afraid and probably should be of his growing power. They don't control Beck and his mesage and I am sure they would rathter see him go back to CNN where he had much fewer viewers.

No, I think you are reaching way past the intent. Beck is a crazy fool because of what he believes, not for what he doesnt.

Left, right. Up, down. Back, front. It doesn't really matter where you are standing, it all sounds the same.

The best thing that ever happened to Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and Sean Hannity was Barack Obama getting elected. It gave them a perfect target, an "Other" that they could beat like a Dead Horse while inflaming the fears and insecurities of their listening base. I wouldn't be surprised if all 3 of them voted for him. It's guaranteed job security.

Their listeners are being played like fishes in a net.....if they realized how these guys were insulting their intelligence (that is, if they have any-they certainly aren't capable of any sort of independent thought without being told what to read, hear, react to, knee-jerk to...etc. etc.) it would kill them. The Unholy Three learned their lessons from Karl Rove and Dick Cheyney very well.

The idea that anyone would be afraid of Glen Beck is hilarious. Just because you call an idiot an idiot doesn't mean you are afraid of him. He's a plump, wimpy fear-monger. I'm as afraid of him as I am of you, jpb.

That's how the Alinskeyites attempt to shout down the truth. They have too much invested in their Immaculate One to even consider a contrary point of view - let alone respect it.

Tom Tomorrow sure knows how to get to the heart of the matter.

I'm still laughing at the Belizian saying that people are afraid of the Pillsbury Dough Boy.

Assuming you are referring to Rush, if they aren't afraid of him why did they go out of their way to demonize him a few weeks back, Stevie? You know, the calculated hit job to which Begala, et al, acknowledged? You want to know WHY they're not demonizing him anymore, genius? Because they realized the extra publicity was driving up his listenership. Nearly 35% in cumulative numbers and about half that in all important 'time spent listening' numbers. The democrat hatchet-job effectively increased Rush's regular listenership by over 15%. That's darned near another million folks regularly consuming right wing 'hate-speech.'
