Doyle had some issues to work out so that is why the band was short lived. Yes, they are playing from that one GREAT album but they have also written new songs and I think we'll hear some of that on their up coming tour!!! Looking forward to Wanee and according to their myspace page there are major touring plans for the near future. In mid July the band will embark on a major tour of the US and Canada. Watch for new dates. A new DVD and a live CD with a few studio tracks is scheduled for release in late April or early May. New previously unreleased songs to be included.

I got that email from iClips and enjoyed watching their set! When I was at the Beacon in March and checking out the sites in NY's Times Square we came across a record store who was going out of business. I was able to get a newer copy (old one worn out) of their CD for $4.99!

They sound great.

I've always loved Charlie Sexton's sound and albums but hate having to travel to Austin to see him as he doesn't seem to tour much. Maybe this reignited "supergroup" will hit the road. I saw them in their original, chemically imbalanced incarnation, fifteen years or so ago, and it wasn't pretty.

That's their old myspace page. This is the new one...

http://www.myspace.com/arcangelsmusic

Tommy did play this show with them but is not touring with them for whatever reason.

"Nearly fifteen years after headlining the Austin City Limits Festival, the Arc Angels have decided to reunite and record new music, as well as release a Live DVD/CD. This time, the band consists of original members Bramhall, Sexton and Layton only."
