An NBA source pointed out before the game that two of the referees were Chicago natives (Bill Kennedy and Dan Crawford). Kennedy also was involved in an incident with Rivers during the Bulls’ St. Patrick’s Day win in which both were fined by the league for jawing. The source also said that after the game family members of both referees departed wearing Bulls gear.

I am a diehard celtics fan and fortunately enough I had a Tee time during the game so i didn't have to witness that corruption in the NBA.
How about this for a stat... Lebron James shot more free throws in the Detroit/Cleveland series than the whole Detroit team...
Only in the NBA

I was at the game, and I can tell you the fans thought the refs were in the bag for the Celtics - there were a bunch of calls that went the wrong way - and the replays on the big screens proved it...... there were many 'Refs Suck' "cheers" going on.....

You must have seen a different game.....but maybe you should check with your "source"....

Go Bulls!

....and that Brian Scalabrine is the biggest thug I have seen in a while - hacked his way to 6 fouls in no time...

Gee, they're from Chicago and their family members were Bulls fans - who would have thought that?

The league lets superstars do whatever u want. When Lebron drives he gets "fouled" almost every time even if he runs over a defender who clearly was there first. Any way if Lebron drives you might as well foul him and foul him hard and see if he keeps coming back.

The refs do let the stars do what they want and there ARE two sets of rules. Just watch the Blazers play vs. Yao Ming. That said, the ref'ing is only an issue when these teams let it get to them and then put themselves in a situation where it's so close they can't overcome. If you're up by 10-15 points because you made good decisions and executed well then the bs the stars get away with isn't a factor. Look at any of the games where the 'underdog' soundly beats the star - the calls still go the same way, it's just not an issue.

They should raise the rim. Maybe up to 14 feet or so.

I can't dunk, why should they.

Sorry I was misquoted. Basketball is really stupid but I have nothing against those that enjoy it. Hey the game was even invented by a Cdn to exercise the masses in the US that couldn't skate.

Go Bulls!!! but Garnett-less Celts don't have a chance in the playoffs, anyway. Lakers without Bynum were still a great team all year long.

So refs made some mistakes. It's one of the hardest jobs in sports. I do not believe that the NBA is fixed. Gregg Allman has made some mistakes too.......like flubbing some lyrics, which has been well documented on this site. Do you think someone paid him to make HIS mistakes as well? I don't quite get this.

I'd be watching basketball if she was calling fouls.
